The sober living program at Zen Mountain House provides structure, accountability, and community for women who are ready to take the next step after treatment. Our homes offer a safe, supportive environment where residents can strengthen their recovery, rebuild independence, and regain balance in daily life.
Our program focuses on helping women maintain long-term sobriety while developing healthy habits and consistent routines. With a balance of freedom and responsibility, residents have the opportunity to work, attend school, or volunteer — all while staying connected to a sisterhood that encourages lasting recovery.
During this initial phase, our residents focus on adjusting to sober living, attending recovery meetings, and maintaining structure through house rules, chores, and curfews. Staff support and peer accountability help create consistency and confidence.
As residents grow in stability, they begin to take on more responsibility — balancing work, school, or volunteering with ongoing recovery commitments. Curfews may extend, and independence increases with progress.
With at least 5 months of sobriety and stability behind them, our residents are preparing to transition to independent living. They’ve developed routines, maintained employment, and continued engagement in recovery communities.
“Zen Mountain is an unbelievably life-changing program. It has taught me so many critical life skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Growth is an understatement. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a safe, well-rounded, accountable environment where great connections are made and long lasting recovery becomes a possibility!”
